How to "Travel" During Quarantine

This is definitely a time like no other.  Most of us understand the severity of the current situation, so we get that staying home is vital in order to minimize the impact of this pandemic. Personally, I am naturally a homebody but also someone who appreciates the ability to leave and go run errands, travel and meet up with friends and family.  So figuring out activities and tasks to keep busy and not focus so much on the negative but rather be creative in the ways of enjoying those things we love to do.

As a travel agent and someone who enjoys traveling, I understand how anyone who is an advent traveler is having major withdrawals and wishing that they could take that cancelled trip and/or visit their favorite destination right about now.  So my fellow travelers, don't worry I have some tips and resources to help get you through these quarantine days.

1. Update and Research Your Travel Bucket List

Traveling is one of the top activities that has been impacted due to COVID19, domestic and international.  As someone who enjoys traveling and also helping others travel, I definitely never imagined a time where I wouldn't be able to travel outside of my own personal constraints. If you are like me and love to travel, you are probably yearning for your next vacation.  There will come a time again where leisure travelling will be permissible.  Planning your first vacation post pandemic will probably be top on your to do list.  So why wait until then to choose your next destination(s).  If you didn't have plans that were cancelled due to the current situation, this is the perfect time to decide on which will be your next destination to visit and explore.

Here are 4 Easy Steps in Picking Your Next Destination:

  • Pick 3-5 Destinations Based on Your Vacation Style Preference (Personal Interest)
  • Compare the Best Times of the Year to Visit
  • Research the Top Attractions and Activities In Each
  • Ask Your Well-Traveled Friends/Family For Their Insight
